{"id":78179,"date":"2026-02-20T12:20:59","date_gmt":"2026-02-20T11:20:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.autotrade.ie\/?p=78179"},"modified":"2026-02-20T12:20:59","modified_gmt":"2026-02-20T11:20:59","slug":"toyota-to-open-circular-factory-in-poland","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.autotrade.ie\/index.php\/toyota-to-open-circular-factory-in-poland\/78179","title":{"rendered":"Toyota to open circular factory in Poland"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Toyota Motor Europe is set to expand its circular economy operations with the announcement of a new end-of-life vehicle processing facility in Walbrzych, Poland.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The 25,000 m\u00b2 facility will process close to 20,000 end-of-life vehicles annually, recovering components and raw materials including copper, steel, aluminium, and plastics for use in new vehicle production.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-31151\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bodyshop.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/tmmp-w-plant-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1707\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Walbrzych will be Toyota&#8217;s second such facility in Europe following the launch last year of a similar plant in Burnaston in the UK.<\/p>\n<p>The new factory will expand operations at Toyota\u2019s existing Walbrzych plant, which currently produces components for hybrid and conventional powertrains. <\/p>\n<p>Items such as batteries and wheels will be evaluated for their potential to be remanufactured, repurposed or recycled.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-31152\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bodyshop.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/toyota_circular_model_scheme.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1920\" height=\"1080\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Toyota said Poland was selected due to its &#8220;strong market potential to source end-of-life vehicles, recycling upstream and downstream and the presence of our established manufacturing infrastructure&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>The company added that it plans to introduce similar investments in other European markets in the coming years.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Toyota Motor Europe is set to expand its circular economy operations with the announcement of a new end-of-life vehicle processing facility in Walbrzych, Poland.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":15,"featured_media":78180,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_exactmetrics_skip_tracking":false,"_exactmetrics_sitenote_active":false,"_exactmetrics_sitenote_note":"","_exactmetrics_sitenote_category":0,"footnotes":""},"categories":[1],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-78179","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news","cat-1-id","has_thumb"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v25.5 -
