It has almost been two years since Atlas Autoservice announced the acquisition of Bridgestone\u2019s 18 Irish retail depots, operating under the \u2018First Stop\u2019 and \u2018Fast Fit\u2019 brands. This significant expansion created the largest chain of tyre and car servicing outlets in Dublin.<\/p>\n

Since the December 2023 acquisition, Atlas Autoservice has pushed on with its goal of becoming the number one choice for motorists in Ireland, and indeed across County Dublin, where the leading tyre and car servicing group continues to boast a major foothold with 18 sites either side of the M50, as well as operating a fleet of 17 vans out on the road.<\/p>\n

Once known primarily in the industry for its expertise in the tyre trade, Atlas Autoservice prides itself in being a major player in the motor servicing sector, servicing all main vehicle brands.<\/p>\n

Staying abreast of the growing number of electric and hybrid vehicles coming to market is vital for any servicing and repair business. The Auto Trade Journal recently visited Atlas Autoservice’s main office and training centre in Ballymount to learn more about its ongoing plans to address the growing skills gap in the automotive industry.<\/p>\n

Located in the Ballymount Industrial Estate, Atlas Autoservice’s training centre is home to an open-plan workshop and classroom, giving mechanics access to state-of-the-art tools and equipment, as well as hands-on knowledge from seasoned technicians, blending classroom learning with real-world application.<\/p>\n

With over four decades of experience in the motor industry, Atlas Autoservice sees its ongoing training initiative as a significant opportunity for those looking to enjoy a progressive career in the industry.<\/p>\n

The company’s 220 employees from across its 18 centres also came together in Ballymount at the end of September for an open week, where they were given an insight into Atlas Autoservice’s future plans for staff training and development.<\/p>\n
