{"id":57154,"date":"2021-04-06T11:18:08","date_gmt":"2021-04-06T10:18:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.autotrade.ie\/?p=57154"},"modified":"2021-04-06T17:18:32","modified_gmt":"2021-04-06T16:18:32","slug":"extractor-sets-for-damaged-and-rounded-off-hex-and-torx-fasteners","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.autotrade.ie\/index.php\/extractor-sets-for-damaged-and-rounded-off-hex-and-torx-fasteners\/57154","title":{"rendered":"Extractor sets for damaged and rounded-off hex and Torx fasteners"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Laser Tools offers extractor sets to deal with a hex or Torx fastener that has become damaged, cross-threaded or jammed.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>One set is for damaged hex fasteners (part number 8052), the other is for damaged Torx fasteners (part number 8053).<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-25003\" src=\"http:\/\/www.factorfocus.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/8052_Overhead-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1481\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The left-hand tapered spiral design, bites into the bolt or screw and grips more as more torque is applied.<\/p>\n<p>The 8052 Hex set includes four 1\/4&#8243; drive socket bits \u2014 3, 4, 5 and 6mm (37mm length), and four 3\/8&#8243; drive socket bits \u2014 7, 8, 9 and 10mm (48mm length).<\/p>\n<p>The 8053 Torx set includes three 1\/4&#8243; drive socket bits \u2014 T10, T15 and T20 (37mm length), and four 3\/8&#8243; drive socket bits \u2014 T25, T27, T30 and T4 (43mm length).<\/p>\n<p>The sockets are manufactured from chrome vanadium steel, and the bits from strong S2 shock-resisting tool steel.
