The next automotive aftermarket webinar series from automechanika’s auto:resource, ‘The Future of Automotive Training’, is set to look at the impact 2020 had on the landscape of automotive training, what it looks like now in 2021, and where it is going in the future.<\/p>\n

To be held live at 11:00 on March 30 or on demand afterwards, a number of established industry speakers will be on hand to share insights and incite discussion about the future of automotive training and training priorities for workshops such as electrification, ADAS and more.<\/p>\n

They will also offer business guidance for workshops on how to plan and access training for staff, now and in the future.<\/p>\n

The expert panel will include renowned automotive author, Tom Denton; Maria McCullough, AutoCare Garage Network Manager; Phill Weller, Network Manager for United Garage Services GROUPAUTO; Kevin Kelly, Bosch Sales Director UK & Ireland; and James Dillon, Independent Trainer for Technical Topics, with more speakers to be announced. The session will be moderated by Mark Field, PR Director for Automechanika Birmingham.<\/p>\n

James Dillon<\/p><\/div>\n

Denton has been researching and writing best-selling automotive textbooks for over 25 years. His published work is endorsed by all leading professional organisations and used by automotive students across the world.<\/p>\n

McCullough has been with GROUPAUTO for 37 years in total, and 18 years ago, she launched the AutoCare garage programme in the UK, starting from scratch and building it to the 845 garages currently on board. In February 2020, AutoCare won best garage concept at the CAT awards.<\/p>\n

Weller looks after the United Garage Services network, the garage support programme available to independent workshops exclusively through the UAN trading group.<\/p>\n

A household name around the world, Bosch provides a complete range of diagnostic and workshop equipment and a wide range of spare parts \u2013 from new and exchange parts to repair solutions \u2013 for passenger cars and commercial vehicles. With over 30 years in the industry, Kelly has been a Sales Director for Bosch for over a decade, and brings extensive industry insight to the panel.<\/p>\n

Dillion is an experienced aftermarket expert, who offers technical training and support through his business, Technical Topicals, which was established in 1989.<\/p>\n

While the pandemic has applied the brakes on business operations in many ways, it hasn\u2019t stopped the acceleration of new technologies in the Automotive Sector, and therefore auto:resource recognises the need for constant training and upskilling for garage and workshop staff.<\/p>\n

Lockdowns and social distancing measures have had a severe impact on traditional training courses and methods, both for training providers and the technicians in need of training.<\/p>\n
