Toyota has sold 11,203 vehicles over the past seven months of 2019, with 3,152 of these sold in July alone.<\/p>\n<p>The rise in sales follows the addition of four new generation self-charging hybrid models to the Irish market, with strong sales across the RAV4, Corolla Hatchback, Corolla Touring Sport, Camry. The C-HR, Yaris and Prius models also continued to be very popular.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.autotrade.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/DW6I8072.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1800\" height=\"1128\" class=\"size-full wp-image-44848 aligncenter\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.autotrade.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/DW6I8072.jpg 1800w, https:\/\/www.autotrade.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/DW6I8072-800x501.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.autotrade.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/DW6I8072-300x188.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.autotrade.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/DW6I8072-768x481.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.autotrade.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/DW6I8072-1024x642.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.autotrade.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/DW6I8072-200x125.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1800px) 100vw, 1800px\" \/>The Camry<\/em><\/p>\n<p>In addition to taking the top spot for overall car sales in July, Toyota\u2019s Corolla continues to be the best-selling car in the Irish market for 2019.\u00a0Launched into the Irish market in early 2019 with a completely new design both inside and out, the Corolla has proved its ability to win both the hearts and minds of the car buying public with 4,037 models sold so far this year, 87 per cent of which are self-charging hybrids.<\/p>\n<p>Steve Tormey, CEO\u00a0of\u00a0Toyota Ireland\u00a0commented:\u00a0\u201cWe are delighted Toyota has taken the number one position of top selling car brand and model for July. With renewed interest from consumers in more sustainable and environmentally friendly motoring off the back of the Government\u2019s Climate Action Plan, demand for our hybrid models are at an all-time high.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSIMI&#8217;s figures also show the continued demise of diesel as Irish drivers move towards more electrified motoring solutions such as self-charging hybrids.
