<\/p>\nThe\u00a0German motor oil and additive expert Liqui Moly presented the new\u00a0design for its oil container labels\u00a0for the first time at Automechanika in September.<\/p>\n
The look has been\u00a0gently modernised. ‘Labels are the face of the motor oil,’ says Peter\u00a0Baumann, Marketing Manager at Liqui\u00a0Moly. ‘This face now looks fresher\u00a0but keeps its recognition value.’<\/p>\n
Just as magazines and\u00a0newspapers modernise their layout from time to time, sometimes labels\u00a0also receive a\u00a0makeover. The important thing is to find a balance\u00a0between change and recognition value. Because the most\u00a0alluring look is\u00a0useless if regular customers are no longer able to find ‘their’ oil on\u00a0the shelf.<\/p>\n
‘Functionality is right in the foreground of the new\u00a0design,’ says Baumann. ‘Functionality means that the buyer\u00a0quickly sees\u00a0the most important information.’ In oil, that is the viscosity and, of\u00a0ever increasing importance, the\u00a0approvals of the car manufacturers. But\u00a0the eye also plays its part in the purchase decision. The new design\u00a0looks more plastic and more modern. The brand and its properties are\u00a0more striking. These properties include a\u00a0prominently placed ‘Made in\u00a0Germany’ and the award for ‘most popular lubricant brand’. The ‘Oil\u00a0change to the\u00a0no. 1’ tip in the corner also points this out.<\/p>\n
‘The\u00a0new labels are just a small, but not to be underestimated foundation\u00a0for our success concept,’ says Peter\u00a0Baumann. ‘The new address to the\u00a0end user will increase brand recognition and sales.’<\/p>\n
Liqui\u00a0Moly is headquartered in Southern Germany. It offers a wide range of qualitative\u00a0high-quality products such as\u00a0motor oils, additives, vehicle care\u00a0products and service products. The range includes some 4000 items. The premium German motor oil and additive company, it\u00a0develops and tests their own products in their own laboratories,\u00a0manufactures exclusively in Germany and\u00a0markets all of their products\u00a0themselves.<\/p>\n
