Scheduled for unveiling at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show this March, the new 308 SW will go on sale in Ireland in July.<!--more--><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-12286\" alt=\"308sw_1312styp008\" src=\"http:\/\/www.autotrade.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/308sw_1312styp008.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"375\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.autotrade.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/308sw_1312styp008.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.autotrade.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/308sw_1312styp008-300x188.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.autotrade.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/308sw_1312styp008-200x125.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>As with the new 308 hatchback, the new 308 SW is built on Peugeot&#8217;s new Efficient Modular Platform (EMP2), to guarantee increased efficiency and excellent build quality, once again confirming the marque&#8217;s move up-market.<\/p>\n<p>As a result, the new Peugeot 308 SW is 140kg lighter overall than its predecessor, to ensure reduced fuel consumption and low-CO2 emissions. Available from launch, Peugeot&#8217;s new Euro 6 petrol and diesel engines ensure remarkable levels of performance. A BlueHDi version, producing only 85g CO2 per km, establishes a new benchmark in the segment.<\/p>\n<p>Peugeot&#8217;s designers have created a sporty estate car with a wide stance measuring 4.58m in length and 1.47m in height. Its generous internal dimensions allow excellent passenger room who enjoy a bright and airy cabin. With a volume of 610 dm3, the boot is clearly among the largest in the segment. Seats are folded with a single action from inside the boot, to offer a perfectly flat floor when needed.<\/p>\n<p>Built at Sochaux, the new Peugeot 308 SW will be fitted with power units produced at the Peugeot Tr\u00e9mery and Douvrin plants in France.
