Tesco UK electric fleet hits 2,000 as Maxus takes majority share
The Harris Group has played a major part in helping Tesco in the UK transition to fully electric home delivery vehicles by 2030, with the Maxus brand now making up 70 per cent of the fleet.
In achieving this goal, the supermarket giant recently added another Maxus eDeliver 9 to its convoy, bringing its electric van fleet to 2,000.

“The Maxus eDeliver 9 makes up the majority of our fleet and has proven itself in this complex environment, giving us the confidence to continue growing with the marque, while maintaining the high levels of service our customers expect,” said Rob Smallwood, Tesco fleet services operations manager.
The Harris Group said the Maxus eDeliver 9 is the ideal panel van or chassis-cab for demanding multi-drop, stop-start and urban logistics operations, combining electric performance with the range, payload and operational capability required by large fleets.
It said its continued deployment with Tesco represents one of the most significant examples of electric commercial vehicle adoption in UK grocery home delivery.
The Maxus LCV range will be on show at the 271 Vans for Business EXPO, which takes place alongside the 2026 Auto Trade EXPO at the RDS Simmonscourt in Dublin from 10th -11th October.
