Skoda unveils five new dealerships
Skoda’s continued drive to become a Top 5 best-selling car brand has taken a big step forward in recent weeks with the recruitment of five new dealerships for its network across Munster and Leinster.
The five new dealerships chosen for their strategic importance in high population centres include Boland’s in Carlow, Sheehy Motor Group in Naas, Co Kildare, Frank Hogan Motors in Limerick, Western Motors in Drogheda Co Louth and J Donohue Motors in Enniscorthy, Co Wexford.
In addition to the dealership expansion, Skoda has today also announced its latest innovative sales incentive programme for Irish motorists. In conjunction with Applegreen, Ireland’s largest independent forecourt retailer, Skoda has launched a unique fuel card offer for Irish motorists, guaranteeing them a set price for fuel in 2013 and saving them hard earned money. Anyone who orders a new Skoda before the 17th November 2012 will receive a fuel card capping the price of fuel at 99c a litre for the year ahead.

Joe Barrett, Retail Director of Applegreen and Ciara Walsh Marketing Communications Manager, Skoda Ireland
Commenting Zac Hollis, Brand Director, Skoda Ireland said: “We are delighted to announce the appointment of five new dealerships to the Skoda network. We have gained five excellent and well established business partners who will work with us to achieve our goal of driving Skoda to 8% market share in Ireland by 2016. Each of the new appointments has vast experience gained over many years in the industry and with Skoda they now have a Brand to grow their business even further backed by our expanding product range and crucially access to vehicle funding through Skoda Finance”.
Hollis concluded: “Our latest incentive scheme in conjunction with Applegreen is our way of helping Irish motorists with the ever increasing burden of fuel costs. All our new Skoda’s are extremely fuel efficient and will deliver annual fuel costs savings, however customers who order a new Skoda before the 17th November can reduce their costs even further with a 99c per litre price guarantee on fuel for 2013!”
The new dealerships bring Skoda’s nationwide footprint to 25 dealerships and will play an important role in Skoda’s continued growth in Ireland following the recent launch of the Skoda Rapid, a compact family saloon providing elegance and affordability starting from €15,995 and earlier this summer the introduction of Skoda’s first small car with the arrival of the Citigo to Ireland.
