Schaeffler to unveil new BEV, hybrid and REEV systems

Schaeffler is set to reveal a host of new powertrain solutions at its Automotive Symposium in Bühl, Germany this June, where it will showcase new battery electric vehicles (BEVs), hybrid powertrains and range extender (REEV) applications.

The company will present components and integrated systems including e-axles, hybrid transmissions, inverter platforms and bearings.

For BEVs, Schaeffler says it is focused on integrated electric drive systems, scalable inverter platforms with X-in-1 functionality and current-insulated bearings.

The company adds that material efficiency in electric motors and a tighter development process aim to cut complexity and shorten time to market.

For hybrids and range extenders, Schaeffler covers P1 to P3 topologies and offers a dedicated hybrid transmission combining components, software and functions.

It points to REEVs as an integral part of future of electric mobility, using internal combustion more efficiently within an integrated drive.
