Ring claims top spot in Auto Express Product of the Year list
Ring has been included in and singled out as the first product in Auto Express’s Product of the Year list for 2025 with its flat tyre sealant.
Having created its tyre care range 20 years ago, Ring has since fashioned an award winning and highly respected lineup of more than 30 products, including tyre inflators, foot pumps, gauges and sealant.
Within this range is its flat tyre sealant (RTS4502), which won Auto Express’ best tyre sealant last year, receiving 4.5 out of 5 stars. The tester commented: “The Ring is the only sealant we’d be confident using at the roadside and then trust to get us home.” And also, “Connecting it is easy, and by making sure the puncture was at the bottom of the wheel when we were filling, the hole was quickly plugged. It was mess free, quick and effective.”
Now, however, Auto Express has crowned the sealant in its Product of the Year issue. The magazine said: “When we conduct tests, the scores are carefully logged so we can accurately differentiate between products that are often closely matched for performance and value. But our tyre sealant trial was different, and saw one contender instantly stand out.
“Ring’s Flat Tyre Sealant was the only product which instantly stopped air escaping from our 4mm puncture hole – and it was still holding fast a week later. It’s simple to use, too. As a result, we now keep a bottle in our car, because it’s the only sealant we would trust if stuck by the side of the road.”
Ring tyre sealant is designed to seal punctures up to 6mm and is made to original equipment specification. To make it as easy as possible for the user, there’s no need for jacks or tools, the sealant is safe for use with tyre pressure monitoring systems (TPMS) and is suitable for all weather conditions. With this sealant, drivers can go up to 125 miles at 50 mph to find a professional repair.
