Plan to support EV infrastructure in Northern Ireland published
A new action plan for infrastructure developments required to support electric vehicles across Northern Ireland has been published by the Department for Infrastructure.
The action plan was developed by the Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Task-Force, which was set up in December 2021 to bring together representatives from government, consumers, energy providers, industry and EV drivers to consider EV infrastructure requirements to a deliver a fit for purpose, modern EV charging network.
Increased provision of charging infrastructure and operators, the cost of charging and how to pay for charging have all been highlighted as issues which need to be addressed.
