Peugeot to unveil two new models


This weekend, Peugeot Ireland will unveil two new models at the Nevo Electric Vehicle Show which takes place in the RDS, Dublin on Saturday 17th February.

The newly refreshed E-208 with improved range, design and technology will be unveiled along the E-308, the electric version of the 308 which was launched with petrol, diesel and PHEV powertrains in 2022.

Peugeot will be one of over 20 electric vehicle brands that will be showcasing their latest models and 2024 new car offers at the show.

Currently, Peugeot is offering a free three-year service plan, 2.9 per cent PCP and a free home charger on its electric vehicle range.

Those that have registered for the event will be invited to test drive selected models at the show, including the new Peugeot E-2008.

Speaking of the event, Des Cannon, managing director at Peugeot Ireland said: “This event is a great opportunity for customers to discover all aspects of electric vehicles and it’s an ideal venue to showcase these two new models, which are a great addition to our electric offering.

“The Peugeot electric line-up will be further enhanced later this year with the launch of the new E-3008, E-5008 and the electric version of the 408.

“By 2025, Peugeot will have a fully electric option for every model in our range.”

E-208
According to Peugeot, the E-208 is being refreshed, with an improved range of up to 400 km (WLTP cycle), reinvented design and cutting-edge technologies.

Externally, a new light signature has been added. First introduced on the 9X8 Hypercar, the new Peugeot light signature on the front, consists of three long vertical light claws which are integrated into the gloss black inserts on the bumper.

The front also sees an updated grille with the latest Peugeot badge at its centre. The emblematic rear light signature of three red lights change from vertical to horizontal.

Inside, the new E-208 sees the introduction of a new design for the digital instrument cluster, a large 10-inch central touchscreen standard on all models and dynamic ambient lighting with a choice of eight different colours on the GT version.

Technology has also been improved with the Peugeot i-Connect system as standard which offers full connectivity thanks to a wireless mirroring function with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto.

Other advancements include extra USB sockets, a more powerful induction charger, high-definition parking cameras and a comprehensive range of driving aids.

The range will be based on three versions – Active, Allure, GT offering a range of up to 400 km (WLTP cycle).

Available in seven colours with two new colours being added, Agueda Yellow, the launch colour and Selenium Grey.

The new E-208 is available to order in Ireland now with prices starting at €31,035 (including SEAI grant and VRT rebate).

E-308
Already available in petrol, diesel and electrified plug-in hybrid versions, the two Peugeot 308 silhouettes – the hatchback and estate SW, are now available in 100 per cent electric version. Peugeot says it will be the first European manufacturer to offer a fully-electric estate. The electric 308 and 308 SW will be powered by a brand-new electric motor with a claimed range up to 413 km (WLTP cycle).

Inside, Peugeot says the same level of comfort of the ICE and PHEV 308 can be found with the latest generation of the Peugeot i-Cockpit with its compact steering wheel, now heated on the E-308, a three-dimensional digital head-up display, which can be customised and configured and its central 10-inch touch screen.

Also in place on the E-308 are the fully configurable virtual i-toggles, and connectivity including the latest i-Connect Advanced technology.

The on-board three-phase charger comes as standard and has a power rating of 11 kW. From a 100kW public charging point, the vehicle charge will go from 20 to 80 per cent charge in less than 25 minutes, 12 minutes for 100km.

Technologically, Peugeot says the new E-308 and E-308 SW feature the latest generation of driving aids to promote calm and safe driving. These include Adaptive cruise control with Stop and Go function, Long-range blind spot monitoring and Rear Traffic Alert, which warns of danger when reversing.

Prices for the E-308 will be announced at the Nevo EV Show.
