Osram shortlisted for innovation award

Osram has been recognised in the CAT Awards shortlist and has reached the final for the Innovation Award category, with its LEDInspect 3-in-1 Inspection Light Kit.

The LEDinspect 3-in-1 inspection light kit (LEDIL417), was launched in 2025 and is the first of its kind in the Osram portfolio.

Included are three attachments for the lamp: a standard torch attachment, a thin inspection lamp attachment; with two hinge positions, which rotate 180° and 230° respectively, and a gooseneck light attachment, that can bend and twist to illuminate hard to see locations across the whole vehicle.

The same handle base is used for each of the three attachments, with each having four lighting modes, high, medium, low and flash. There is a magnet on the handle base for hands free working and the end of the gooseneck light attachment is also magnetic, which is helpful if the user needs to retrieve screws or small objects in hard-to-reach places.

Osram lighting marketing manager, Terri Clark, commented: “Osram is honoured to be shortlisted for such a fantastic award. As a global business, we’re very proud of our continued business development in the UK and Ireland and pleased to see that this is reflected in the industry’s opinion of us.

“It was only last month that this product won the IAAF award in its Product of the Year category and it was also included in Auto Express’s Products of the Year list, both of which are prestigious accolades, so it’s clear this product has been popular!

“Technicians are always at the front of our minds when we create a new product and think about how it can best assist them. Whether this means adding more features, such as having multiple attachments for an inspection light, all is done with the technician at the forefront of our motivation and product development.

“We’re thrilled to be shortlisted for this award and look forward to the ceremony in February.”
