NGK Spark Plugs Ltd recently held its 28th annual Northern Ireland Golf Day at the Carnalea Golf Club in Bangor, which was attended by NGK staff and guests.
After the golf the party transferred to a Belfast hotel before attending an evening meal and a prize awards ceremony at James Street restaurant in the city.
The winner of the low handicap section and the NGK Shield was Eric ‘Junior’ Reid from Colin Adams Motor Parts in Newtownards with 37 points. Niall Patrick, from R T Autoparts in Cookstown, finished in second place, a point behind, with Vincent McCaffery, of Antrim Autoparts, coming third with 31 points.
The high handicap section saw success for Elmer Wallace, of Paints and Components in Ballymoney. Matthew Maguire, of North Down Motor Factors in Newtownards, finished second, with David Davidson, from Woodstock Motorparts in Belfast, in third place.
The big hitter on the day was NGK Spark Plugs (UK) Ltd’s deputy general manager, sales and business development, Tim Ward, who won the longest drive competition, with Niall Patrick picking up the nearest to the pin prize. Marko Wowczyna, NGK automotive director collected the NGK staff prize.
