In the three years Gratton has been with the company he has taken responsibility for a number of areas outside of his FD remit, including purchasing and supply chain plus one of the sales divisions.
In his new role, Gratton will be responsible for leading Ring through its next phase of growth and development as well supporting ams Osram to reach its strategic goals.
“I feel privileged to have the opportunity to support the Ring team as we drive forwards in delivering the company strategy,” he commented.
“With such a strong and passionate team, backed by the ams-Osram group, we are well positioned to continue our positive momentum in both our traditional and emerging markets.”
Outgoing MD, Theresa Spencer added: “This was an extremely difficult decision to make. Ring has been very important to me during my seven year tenure, especially over the past three years as MD.
“It has presented me with challenges and opportunities, and I have learnt a huge amount.
“However, I am looking forward to a new challenge and I leave knowing that Ring, and the Ring family, will be very safe under Andy’s stewardship.”
