Mullingar Autos is BYD’s 16th Irish dealership

Mullingar Autos has been appointed by Motor Distributors Limited (MDL) to represent BYD in Ireland.

Trading as BYD Mullingar, and operating from its prominently located showrooms at Dublin Bridge, Mullingar, its appointment increases the BYD national dealer network to 16 outlets overall, with a number of further appointments expected to be announced imminently.

Commenting on the announcement, Vicky Reilly, BYD Ireland national sales manager said: “A trusted name in the Irish motoring landscape for over half a century, we are delighted to welcome Mullingar Autos – and the extensive expertise they bring – to the BYD dealer network, in a region where no previous representation existed for the brand.”

A previous long-standing dealer partner of MDL, Mullingar Autos is an independent, family-owned motor retailer with decades of experience serving customers in Westmeath and the Midlands.

Acknowledging its appointment, Jim Bourke, dealer principal at Mullingar Autos, said: “With the speed at which the brand is growing, this is a very exciting time for us to become a representative of BYD, and we very much look forward to introducing our customers in the midlands to their attractive range of both fully electric and Super Hybrid vehicles, all of which are available now at our premises.”
