Kia reveals details of PV5 chassis-cab

Kia has revealed further details on the chassis-cab variant of its PV5 electric vehicle, set to arrive in Ireland in 2027.

While Irish market specification has yet to be confirmed, Kia has said that the PV5 Chassis will come with 71.2kWh and 51.1kWh battery options.

The bigger battery variant supports DC fast charging and has a power output of 120kW.

Kia is gearing this version towards businesses and fleets that need to cover longer distances between charging stops while retaining the adaptability of the chassis platform.

It also provides the foundation for a wide range of professional conversions.

While Kia quotes a range of up to 416km for the L2H1 PV5 Cargo, it notes that final range and payload of the Chassis variant will depend on the completed conversion and vehicle specification.

It retains the two-seat configuration of the PV5 Cargo and offers a “best-in-class” 5.5-metre turning radius.

The existing Kia PV5 range will be on show at the 271 Vans for Business EXPO, which takes place alongside the 2026 Auto Trade EXPO at the RDS Simmonscourt in Dublin from 10th -11th October.
