Joe Duffy Group have acquired Motorpark Athlone, following competition authority approval. The business will be rebranded Joe Duffy Ford Athlone.
Commenting on the acquisition, Gavin Hydes, CEO at the Joe Duffy Group, said: “I am delighted to confirm that we have acquired Motorpark Athlone. This acquisition, which will be our second Ford passenger car & commercial vehicles dealership and further demonstrates our confidence in the Ford brand and our ambition to grow our Group and increase our national footprint. I look forward to welcoming the team at Athlone to the Group. I am very excited about the future and what we can achieve together with our latest addition to the Joe Duffy family. This will be our first business in Connacht and increases our national footprint, where we also have a strong presence in Munster and Leinster. This will bring the number of franchises in the Group to 20 and a team of 440 employees”.
