It brought together representatives from across the industry, including Intertruck’s own branches, suppliers and customers, to gain an insight into the market and what large and small fleet operators want from parts procurement.

Ed Pedder, general manager, major accounts, at Intertruck, said: “There are many challenges facing the current aftermarket and as the definitive supplier of all makes of truck and trailer parts throughout the UK, Intertruck is dedicated to reducing the overall cost of fleet management by supplying a market-leading product portfolio of OE-matching quality parts. The conference was also an opportunity for us to gather representatives of the commercial vehicle supply chain in one room, share innovative best practice and ways that we are able to work ever-closer together.”

Attendees at the conference included representatives from a number of the industry’s leading suppliers, along with Intertruck customers such as Veolia Environmental Services. Lloyd Sutton, procurement director at Veolia, commented: “We have been working alongside Intertruck for over 15 years and enjoy a positive relationship with the organisation. Intertruck has and continues to develop solutions to challenges that enable us both to continually improve in the areas of quality, service and compliance.”

Sutton concluded: “We saw the conference as the perfect opportunity to explain the requirements of our supply chain moving forward. The event was unique in that it brought together all elements of the marketplace and it was a great opportunity to speak to many of the leading aftermarket suppliers.”
