Gedore Automotive wins Automechanika Innovation Award

Gedore Automotive, distributed in Ireland by Express Spares, has won a Parts & Technology Solutions award at this week’s Automechanika Innovation Awards 2024.

The winners of the Innovation Awards were selected from a total of 153 applicants. The products and solutions were assessed by a jury of 17 international experts.

Criteria such as innovative content, economic efficiency, user-friendliness, functionality, aftermarket relevance, safety and quality as well as the contribution to environmental protection and sustainability were decisive for the decision.

Gedore Automotive was awarded for its E-Drive Stator Lift, which was developed alongside Schaeffler. This is a semi-automatic separation device for dismantling electric motors. Despite extreme magnetic forces, rotor and stator are separated without damage. As an alternative to replacement motors, cost effective spare parts can be installed and defective motors reintroduced into the usage cycle.

Drive/Train by Express Spares will be exhibiting at Auto Trade EXPO 2024, which takes place alongside the CV Workshop EXPO at the RDS in Dublin from 12th-13th October.
