Frank Keane BMW hosts TUD automotive students

Technological University Dublin (TUD) last week brought its Automotive Technology & Management students to the Naas Road showroom of Frank Keane BMW and MINI in Dublin, for a guided tour of its facilities and to explore its aftersales operations.

The students were led by Michael O’Connor, a lecturer in the Automotive Technology & Management course at TUD, who said of the outing: “Based around the TU720 program Automotive Service and Repair Operation module, the team at Frank Keane provided fantastic real life applications and unique insights into direction of the industry around the people, physical resources, strategy and operational processes for successful aftersales operations.”

He added: “Students were treated to board room presentations, guided tours of the facilities including interaction with many members of aftersales staff in their roles, a rare opportunity to see up close some very special new BMW product such as the magnificent M5 and exclusive classic cars.”

The session closed with refreshments and a Q&A session with senior management on various aspects of the automotive sector.

A spokesperson for Frank Keane BMW said: “With two alumni from the course now working here, it was especially rewarding to host these students and show them what we do. We look forward to seeing where their careers take them and are always happy to be part of their journey into the automotive industry.”
