Ford Pro supporting EV fleet charging in Ireland with new partnership

Ford Pro has partnered with ChargePoint to offer commercial customers in Ireland access to integrated home and depot charging solutions designed specifically for fleet operators, while keeping vehicle and charging data connected through the Ford Pro Telematics platform.

With more Irish businesses exploring electrification, Ford Pro said the initiative focuses on addressing one of the key barriers to adoption: reliable and scalable charging infrastructure for fleets.

“As more Irish businesses look to electrify their fleets, access to reliable and scalable charging infrastructure is critical,” said John Manning, market lead, sales and marketing director at Ford Motor Company, Ireland.

“Through this collaboration with ChargePoint, Ford Pro customers in Ireland will have access to charging solutions designed to support their transition to electric vehicles while maintaining the productivity and uptime their businesses rely on.”

Ford Pro said its role will evolve into a pivotal facilitator of charging services, with a streamlined referral process and clear communication.

It said it is “carefully selecting partners known for strong customer service and user-friendly digital platforms for the direct provision of charging hardware and software”.

Crucially, charging records from Ford Pro vehicles will be available via Ford Pro Telematics, so fleet managers retain a single platform to manage their vehicles’ data.

The specialised service will reduce administration for customers, leaving them free to concentrate on growing their businesses, according to Ford Pro.
