Irish Ford dealers to offer fleets free chargers
Ford dealers across the island of Ireland will now provide complementary Ohme chargers to qualifying passenger car and commercial vehicle customers.
The offer is applicable across all of Ford’s electric vehicle line up including the Explorer, Capri, Puma Gen-E, Mustang Mach-E, E-Tourneo Custom, E-Transit, Transit Custom PHEV (excl. Kombi), Transit Connect PHEV and Ranger PHEV.
For passenger vehicles, the offer is available to retail and selected fleet orders until 30th April, 2026 , and for commercial vehicle orders until 31st March, 2026.
Through the Ford Pro Power Promise, customers in the Republic of Ireland will also receive eight-year, 160,000km battery warranty and a five-year service plan and towing assistance.
In Northern Ireland, this offer includes an eight-year, 100,000 mile battery warranty and two years of free towing and roadside assistance.
Lisa Brankin, managing director at Ford of Britain and Ireland, said: “Switching into an EV for the first time can be a daunting prospect for some drivers, so Ford have decided to simplify and de-stress the entire ownership experience by launching a one-of-a-kind promise to new EV buyers.”
A recent survey conducted by Ford found that 25 per cent of European customers felt more uncertainty and complexity when buying an EV. One in eight said they find it too difficult to arrange charging at home.
