Fire destroys Hendrick’s Tyres in Enniscorthy

Yesterday evening (Monday), fire destroyed Hendrick’s Tyres in Enniscorthy. The alarm was raised after 7pm, when smoke and flames began emerging from the popular family owned tyre centre in the Templeshannon area of Enniscorthy.

Five units from Wexford Fire Service battled the blaze but local residents said it burnt so fast that they could not stop the tyre centre being destroyed. Instead they worked to bring it under control as it became a containment role. Crews remained at the scene overnight.

Bill Hendrick has operated a retail tyre business for about 18 years. He is well respected and popular in the area. Our thoughts go out to Bill, his family and staff at this very difficult time.

The Hendrick’s Tyre website states that they supply and fit all brands of tyres and always do their best to source both quality and value for money for their customers. In addition to tyres, they also sell and fit batteries, and provide wheel alignment and wheel balancing services.
