Elta Automotive acquires Cooling Components Limited

Elta Automotive Limited has announced the acquisition of automotive cooling systems specialist, Cooling Components Limited, widely recognised for its Serck Automotive brand.

As vehicles become more complex (particularly with the continued growth of hybrid and electric vehicles) effective temperature control is critical to performance, reliability, and emissions compliance.

The acquisition, said Elta, strengthens the company’s position in this key growth area and supports its long-term focus on future vehicle technologies.

Elta added that the addition of the Serck Automotive brand further bolsters its growing brand portfolio, which includes VXPRO, VisionPRO, Lucas, and Pride.

Cooling Components will continue to operate from its Tamworth warehouse, with all day-to-day operations remaining unchanged. Paul Baggott will remain as director of Cooling Components Limited.

“This acquisition marks a key moment in the next phase of the Serck Automotive brand,” said Baggott. “Cooling Components has built a strong respected business, but to take Serck Automotive to the next level required significant new investment and additional resources. Joining the Elta group gives us exactly that.”

“Access to Elta’s in-house data, marketing, and operational expertise will deliver immediate benefits and support sustainable long-term growth, while allowing us to retain the specialist focus our customers value,” he added.

Elta Automotive Limited director Ian Hallam, said: “Cooling Components is a strong, business with an excellent reputation and deep technical expertise. Cooling and thermal management are vital growth areas for the aftermarket as vehicle technology continues to evolve.

“We are delighted that Paul will continue to lead the business and that operations will remain in Tamworth, preserving the specialist focus customers value.”
