DENSO introduces EGT Sensors to EMS offering

DENSO has launched an exclusive new product line for aftermarket customers. Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensors (EGT Sensors) have been introduced as part of DENSO’s OE quality Engine Management Systems programme.

Eleven new part numbers are now available, corresponding to eleven OE part numbers, four million vehicles and 225 K-types.

The new product range will cover BMW applications, including; 1-Series, 3-Series, 5-Series, 6-Series, 7-Series and all X-Series variants.

DENSO’s EGT Sensors precisely monitor engine function, thereby enabling higher engine performance with lower emissions and lower fuel consumption.

At the cutting edge of product development, DENSO has led the way in EGT Sensors over the last three decades, introducing the world’s first original EGT Sensor in 1975. In 1998 DENSO launched an EGT Sensor with the world’s highest sensitivity, and today the latest product includes the world’s smallest sensing part – achieving more than 90% volume reduction compared to conventional technology.

“There is currently no equivalent product available to aftermarket customers,” explained Martin Pring, manager of DENSO Aftermarket Sales UK & Ireland. “So we know that the introduction of EGT Sensors is much anticipated! We are working hard to add further applications in the near future to ensure we can satisfy the inevitable demand.”

DENSO Aftermarket’s expanding Engine Management Systems programme now includes five OE quality ranges: Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensors, Ignition Coils, Fuel Pumps, Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valves and Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensors. Each range features original DENSO technologies that guarantee a perfect First-Time Fit® and reliable, superior performance on the road.
