Car-O-Liner highlights Tru-Point ADAS recalibration

Car-O-Liner is one of the world’s leading brands in workshop equipment for collision and service repair shops. The company’s roots trace back to 1973, and since its inception, Car-O-Liner claims to have provided precision, reliability, and innovation to its customers’ workplaces.

The company states its engineers have excelled in implementing new technology for measuring and wheel alignment systems, such as the first use of 3D imaging technology, setting new standards in the industry.

In the same spirit, Car-O-Liner actively supports workshops so they can best meet future challenges. Thanks to Tru-Point, Car-O-Liner says workshops can now offer ADAS recalibrations to their customers, knowing that these features actively contribute to safer vehicles on the roads.

Tru-Point automatically compensates for the location of the vehicle. While most systems function by referencing the height of the vehicle from the shop floor, Car-O-Liner says its system measures the height of the targets from the tyre contact patch of all four wheels, allowing for the vehicle to be calibrated anywhere in the shop; even on an alignment rack.

For that extra boost of confidence, Tru-Point allows shops to get a printout report as evidence that the targets were placed exactly where they needed to be during the procedure, to perform a precise calibration, according to the OEM specifications.

Not only does the printout list and indicate that the target was placed correctly in front of the vehicle for all the possible, unique measurement properties, but it will also confirm that the vehicle’s wheel alignment meets the specifications required for calibration.

A simple colour-coded visual indicator allows workshops to easily identify the exact location for target placement, going from red to green.

“We are moving into a future where a goal of zero deaths in traffic is attainable,” according to Car-O-Liner. “Innovation has taken us to a place where the technological solutions are advanced enough to potentially reduce deaths in traffic by over 60 per cent and injuries by an even greater number.

“We would like to invite you to see how our ADAS technology, Tru-Point, is contributing to safer roads and supporting the goal of zero deaths in traffic. Don’t miss out on this exclusive opportunity to experience our demo for free.”
