Bosch steering systems for passenger cars
Hydraulic steering systems and steering pumps from Bosch stand out for their precise driving behaviour and easy handling. In the aftermarket, workshops benefit from an extensive program based on decades of original equipment experience.
Over 80 years of experience
Since 1945, steering systems have been manufactured at the Bosch plant in Schwäbisch Gmünd, Germany. The result of so many years of experience: high-quality Bosch steering systems.
In hydraulic steering systems, a hydraulic steering pump supports the driver while steering. It provides the oil pressure required for operation of the hydraulic steering system in the vehicle at all times. This significantly reduces the driver’s effort, especially at low speeds and during parking maneuvers, and enhances driving comfort.
If the steering pump has to be replaced due to an accident, mechanical or thermal overload or very high milage, Bosch supports with a global range of steering pumps covering more than 500 applications of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles.
They are ideally matched to the applicated steering system and undergo stringent function and quality tests based on the original equipment standards. As a high-quality alternative for repairs in line with the vehicle’s current value, selected steering pumps are also available in the Bosch eXchange program.

Decades of steering expertise
Bosch hydraulic steering pumps reduce steering effort and improve comfort, offering reliable replacements for passenger cars and light commercial vehicles.
In hydraulic steering systems, a hydraulic steering pump supports the driver while steering. This enhances driving comfort and significantly reduces the force required by the driver. As a particularly safety-relevant vehicle component, steering systems are practically maintenance-free and their durability is designed for the entire vehicle life cycle.
However, due to an accident or mechanical overload they sometimes need to be replaced. For this, the Bosch range includes over 350 hydraulic steering systems for passenger cars and light commercial vehicles.

Bosch will be exhibiting at the 2026 Auto Trade EXPO, which takes place alongside the CV Workshop EXPO from 10th -11th October at the RDS Simmonscourt in Dublin.
