Bosch launches new thermal camera with 18V battery
Bosch has launched its new Expert EXTC18V-650-17C, the company’s first thermal camera with an 18V battery making it part of the Professional 18V System.
The new product is suited for use in a number of applications, including the automotive trade for engine diagnostics.

The built-in infrared sensor offers a native resolution of 384 x 288 px and covers a temperature range of -30 °C to +650 °C – the largest measuring range among Bosch thermal cameras.
It integrates AI Image Boost technology, whereby a specially trained AI model analyses the captured thermal imaging data.
When this function is activated, the camera calculates an optimised version with four times more measurement points from a frozen thermal image.
The new Expert EXTC18V-650-17C can be operated by the 4.3-inch touchscreen or via a joypad.
Bosch will be exhibiting at the 2026 Auto Trade EXPO, which takes place alongside the CV Workshop EXPO from 10th -11th October at the RDS Simmonscourt in Dublin.
