BMW to launch Neue Klasse M models from 2027
BMW has confirmed that its Neue Klasse M electric vehicle models will begin to launch from 2027, the first of which will be an all-electric 3 series (M3).
All Neue Klasse M models will be developed from the ground up and will feature four electric motors. Each of the four electric motors drives one wheel, which BMW says combines all the advantages of rear-wheel and all-wheel drive while enhancing driving dynamics on the road and racetrack.

The Neue Klasse M3 is currently under wraps.
Furthermore, we are told that this system enables precise control of torque and power at each individual wheel, allowing for optimal traction, continuous torque distribution between the braking system and electric motors, as well as brake energy recuperation right up to the limit.
The result, says BMW, is a driving experience in BMW M production vehicles that “has never been achieved before”.
A high-voltage battery, boasting over 100 kWh of usable energy as the powerhouse for the BMW M eDrive system, has also been specifically adapted to meet the demands of high-performance vehicles.
developed from the ground up, the Neue Klasse M new architecture is BMW M eDrive, which is based on the BMW Gen6 technology of the Neue Klasse.
