Best Buzzing for All Blacks
Rugby legend Rory Best has backed Ireland to beat the All Blacks at The Aviva Stadium this coming Friday. Best, who captained the national team from 2016 to 2019, insists Ireland can bounce back from the crushing World Cup quarter final exit at the hands of New Zealand in 2023.
The Grand Slam winning captain says Friday’s game is the perfect opportunity to make amends for the 28-24 defeat when the teams last met. He said: “Ever since we beat them in 2016, for the first time ever, there’s a real confidence that Ireland can beat New Zealand. The last time we met being that World Cup quarter final loss, Ireland will want to exact revenge.”

Best was recently reunited with fellow British and Irish Lions legend Lewis Moody and five other rugby icons as they squeezed their oversized frames into the new seven-seat version of the Volkswagen ID. Buzz. With Best and Moody up front, the legends completed their line up for an all-star 7’s team when they picked up former Wales centre Jamie Roberts, Scotland second-row Jim Hamilton, ex-England back-row Martin Corry, France’s iconic flanker Serge Betsen and Ireland and Leinster legend Shane Horgan.
The reunion saw lively chats about their playing days as the legends traded stories and shared thoughts on how they are finding the transition into a post-playing career, as they swap tour buses for school buses.
The ID. Buzz LWB has a large 86-kWh battery, space for up to seven people and a range of up to 487 km (WLTP). With three rows and seven seats, the ID. Buzz has VW’s largest ever panoramic glass roof, and is available to order now with prices starting from €67,785.
