Accident Repair Centre gets prestigious Toyota award
The Accident Repair Centre in Tallaght, Co Dublin has this week been awarded the prestigious status of becoming a Toyota Approved Body & Paint Repair Centre.
Toyota’s Approved Body and Paint Network offers total coordination with the insurance company and communication with the customer throughout the process.
Toyota vehicles are equipped with state-of-the-art safety sense technology, and the network will ensure that the vehicle is repaired to the same standard as when it was manufactured.
A family-run business since 1992, the Accident Repair Centre was named as the 2019 Irish Auto Trade Awards Bodyshop of the Year, and also more recently the SIMI Irish Motor Industry Awards Bodyshop of the Year for 2023.
The Accident Repair Centre opened its state-of-the-art Express Line centre in Cookstown Industrial Estate, Tallaght in 2018. Extending to over 30,000 square feet, the Accident Repair Centre claims the Express Line allows it to repair more than 120 cars per week.
The facility uses a rail on which the car moves sideways for the various different phases of the repair process. From metal work, body filler, primer, masking, painting, unmasking to finally polishing.

Peter Daly, managing director of Synergy Vehicle Refinishing Solutions Ireland (VRSI), who is the main supplier of paint and materials to the Accident Repair Centre, commented: “Having been associated with the Accident Repair Centre for so many years, we are delighted that it has been chosen to join Toyota’s Approved Body and Paint Network.
“We worked very closely with the Accident Repair Centre to help it meet the extremely high standards set by Toyota.
“The business was subjected to a very strict audit and it is testament to the training and expertise of its staff that it was able to secure this prestigious Toyota award.”
The Toyota Body and Paint Programme is designed to raise productivity and efficiency within the official repair network, improve customer satisfaction, and maintain optimum quality through the sole use of original equipment parts.
The Toyota Ireland network cares for 43 Toyota Dealerships and seven authorised repairers, but not every dealership has its own bodyshop.
Whether owned or subcontracted, Toyota Ireland’s strict approval process for these bodyshops is exactly the same. They also have to comply with specific paint, customer handling, tooling and equipment requirements laid down by the official management programme.
Toyota Ireland is looking forward to working with certified collision experts to enhance its existing Approved Body and Paint Network.
