90 new EV charging hubs to be rolled-out across Ireland

The Government has confirmed the roll-out of 90 new electric vehicle charging hubs across Ireland’s national road network.

Almost €10 million will be allocated to support grants for recharging infrastructure at the selected sites.

These new sites will comprise 192 fast recharging points, with a promised average charging capacity of 250kW.

The Government aims to build “a reliable recharging network” across Ireland, with the distance between hubs “envisaged as 30km or less”.

It also says the new EV chargers are “envisaged to be available for public use by the end of Quarter 1 2026”.
