Yuasa partners with British drift champion Baggsy
Battery manufacturer Yuasa has announced a partnership with Monster Energy Athlete and British Drift Champion, Steve ‘Baggsy’ Biagioni.
As a brand ambassador for the renowned Japanese manufacturer, Baggsy’s R35 Nissan GT-R will feature Yuasa’s logo, while its pilot will act as a representative for the brand at numerous high-profile events around the world.
Baggsy has built a reputation for his unparalleled skill, precision, and innovation in the world of drifting. He is a multi-time champion in fiercely competitive arenas, including the British Drift Championship, King of Europe Pro Series, and Drift Allstars.
The debut of Baggsy’s Nissan GT-R featuring Yuasa branding took place at the recent Goodwood Festival of Speed, where the striking vehicle turned heads and drew significant attention. The event provided a platform to showcase the synergy between Yuasa’s cutting-edge technology and Baggsy’s high-octane performance.
The inclusion of Yuasa’s iconic red and white logo adds Baggsy to the roster of top athletes representing the battery manufacturer, including Repsol Honda riders Joan Mir and Luca Marini in MotoGP, and Adam Smalley and Duckhams Yuasa Racing in BritishGT.
Jon Pritchard, sales and marketing director for GS Yuasa Battery Sales UK Ltd. said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Baggsy to the Yuasa family. His reputation for high energy and precision perfectly align with our products.
“In many ways, I couldn’t think of a more perfect pairing. As Baggsy continues to captivate audiences and push the boundaries of drifting, we’re proud to be powering his journey.”
