Volvo to recall 6,000 of its vehicles in Ireland

Volvo is recalling around 6,000 of its vehicles in Ireland because “internal investigations have identified that in very rare cases, the plastic engine intake manifold may melt and deform.”

The news comes following a global recall of 500,000 cars was announced by the company this week.

Volvo Cars Ireland is in the process of contacting all customers potentially affected, by letter, to ask them to contact their local Volvo dealer where the problem will be repaired at no cost to the car owner.

This recall involves 2.0L diesels models produced between 2014 and 2019 and that those affected are the S60, S80, S90 saloons, V40, V60, V70, V90 estates and XC60 and XC90 SUVs.
