Valeo launches Japanese truck clutch range

Valeo Service is launching a complete clutch solution of kits and components for Japanese medium duty vehicles covering applications: Mitsubishi Fuso, Canter and Fighter; Toyota Dyna; Hino Dutro, Ranger and Profia; Isuzu N-series (ELF – forward); and finally, UD Trucks Condor.
This range represents more than 73 references covering 758 vehicle applications and is made up of new parts with 18 clutch kit references and 26 pressure plate and 29 driven plate references.

Valeo’s Japanese clutch range was tested in the harshest conditions in Japan, which included dense city driving and motorway configurations, to ensure optimal performance. Fitting and driving tests were thoroughly conducted for all 73 references.

Fleet managers, mechanics and drivers interviews revealed outstanding quality with a range of features, including: easy engine fitting; excellent driving comfort; smooth gear-shifting; low noise level; and low vibrations level when in an idle position.

This evidence proves that Valeo’s Japanese truck clutch range is 100 percent interchangeable with O.E. parts and it has therefore been approved by Japanese Express delivery fleets.
Valeo technology tips declined on two main concepts: agility and strength.

Articulation of the pressure plate is eased by spacer rivets and rings for a smooth gear-shifting. Valeo has developed a unique design of fingers on its pressure plate to improve the diaphragm movement and therefore adapt torque transfer operations in high ‘Stop & Go’ usage situations.

The Valeo clutch disc is best-in-class designed to transmit the maximum engine torque of the engine to the wheels. Engine torque transmission is optimised during the slipping phase when changing gear. Valeo friction materials are recognised as the O.E. reference among heavy duty vehicle manufacturers.

Valeo is an automotive supplier, partner to all automakers worldwide. As a technology company, Valeo proposes innovative products and systems that contribute to the reduction of CO2 emissions and to the development of intuitive driving.

In 2015, the Group generated sales of 14.5 billion euros and invested over 10% of its original equipment sales in research and development. Valeo has 134 plants, 17 research centers, 35 development centers, 15 distribution platforms and employs 82,800 people in 30 countries worldwide.
Valeo is listed on the Paris Stock Exchange and is a member of the CAC 40 index.
