UFI Filters has strengthened its relationship with the Volkswagen Group with the provision of fuel filtration systems for the 1.6 and 2.0 TDI engines used on the German manufacturer’s C-segment cars.

These UFI filters are fitted as Original Equipment on the best-selling car in Europe: the Golf, now in its seventh generation and also on the Golf Sportvan, the new versatile and spacious model which made its début on the market last spring. In addition to all versions of the Golf, UFI FILTERS also provides Original Equipment for the new Scirocco which was launched this year, as well as for the Audi A3, the Skoda Octavia and the SEAT Leon.

The UFI Filters fuel filter is mounted on the thrifty 1.6 TDI and the powerful 2.0 TDI, both of which meet Euro 6 standards, ensuring proper engine function by protecting the injection system and allowing for a reduction in fuel consumption and pollutant emissions.

The filtering module is composed of a cellulose-based Green (environmentally friendly) immersion cartridge, with a layer of very thin synthetic fibres (meltblown) on the outside. The filter offers a separation capacity of water particles and impurities of more than 95%.The coated steel body structure provides excellent resistance to corrosion, explosion (at pressures exceeding 15 bar) and impact.
