Tyre centres beware of credit card scam

The Tyre Trade Journal has been contacted by two tyre retailers this afternoon saying that they believe that the credit card scam operated less than two years ago may be active again.

This afternoon both were contacted by a man using an 098 code mobile wanting to buy several tyres using a credit card. In one case it was a tyre centre in the midlands who was asked if he would deliver a large number of tyres to Dublin. He described the accent of the supposed buyer as appearing to be of African origin.
The NTDA (N.I) have also put out the same warning asking people to be aware of people looking to buy tyres on a stolen credit card. Members in their association have being approached in the past week.

The old saying: If it is too good to be true, it usually is! So please beware of all approaches that appear anyway unusual and check/clear all credit card purchases carefully.
