Trico launches centenary video on YouTube


Trico has launched a special video called ‘100 years of Trico’ to coincide with its centenary year, which it has uploaded onto its YouTube channel.

The video celebrates the glorious history of the company, which since its foundation by John R. Oishei in 1917 has seen Trico grow to become a global leader in wiper technology.

The clip – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZNELYlAQQ9g&feature=youtu.be captures the long and proud history of the company over the last century through the many innovations and products it has introduced.

Before Trico, vehicles did not have wiper blades and therefore drivers struggled to see with the first drop of rain. The invention would act as the catalyst for things to come for the company as it established itself as a brand that customers could trust, through their dedication and ground breaking products.

Throughout the video, the numerous historical feats Trico has accomplished show how dedicated the company has been to developing the best products, such as, in 1927 when the company introduced the Visionall, two blade wiper system – where two wipers work in tandem with one another – something that had never been seen before. This trend continued as Trico introduced the sleet wand in 1928 and the heavy-duty TX blade in 1954, to name just two.

As the video moves further through the century, Trico continues to move with the times by expanding its promise to deliver the best across the globe. This included a move to Australia and to Wales, reflecting that the company has lived up to its original name of ‘Tri-Continental’, something further emphasised with the company opening a branch in Brazil in 2001.

Approaching the end of clip will leave viewers knowing that even more exciting times lie ahead with Trico stating that it plans to maintain its industry-leading track record driving the aftermarket and solving OEM challenges.

The ‘100 years of Trico’ video is just one part of the celebrations this year as they have also launched their own brand of beer called ‘Brew 17.’

Product and Brand Manager Sam Robinson said: “100 years is a massive achievement for any company, and at Trico we are taking full advantage of these celebrations. Although we continue to plan ahead for the future, it is important we enjoy this centenary year the best way we can.”

Trico has more than 60 videos on its YouTube channel, with a combined total of 10,000 views to date. The videos feature many helpful and interesting subjects that assist technicians and consumers with common wiper blade related issues.
