Tool Connection hosting two-day Schaeffler double clutch training

Tool Connection is next month hosting a two-day Schaeffler double clutch system training course at its training centre in Southam on 6th-7th September.

Interested technicians can book their place via the ticket portal on the Original Equipment Suppliers Aftermarket Association (OESAA) website.

Places are strictly limited for this highly focused and intensive double clutch training course, which is designed to give workshops the chance to see the profit opportunity that the repair of these systems provides the independent sector, as well as to learn the correct replacement procedures they need to follow to ensure an efficient and professional repair.

Technical services manager at Schaeffler, Alistair Mason explained: “The objective of the course is to give technicians the knowledge and confidence to undertake VAG double clutch system replacement using our LuK 2CT repair solutions and the correct tools, as well as an understanding of the comprehensive support network that the REPXPERT programme provides them.

“Both days follow the same structure, starting with an overview of the double clutch system, followed by the theory behind the clutch and mechatronics.

“We then move onto a practical removal and installation, as well as looking into the common issues that can affect the three main elements: gearbox, mechatronics and clutch. The only difference is that day one covers the dry clutch system, whereas day two covers the wet clutch version.

“At just £299 per person (inc.VAT), the two-day course, which includes lunch and refreshments throughout the day, is exceptional value and, as numbers are so limited, interested attendees should act quickly to secure their place.”
