Brake specialist TMD Friction has appointed Clement de Valon as executive vice president for its independent aftermarket division. The 46-year-old takes over from David Baines, who was appointed CEO and president of TMD Friction back in August. de Valon will report directly to Baines.
“I’m really looking forward to this exciting new challenge”, says de Valon. “The automotive business is facing fundamental changes in terms of mobility, technology and the environment, and our team’s goal is to further strengthen TMD Friction’s position as a strong and sustainable partner for all our aftermarket customers.”
Clement de Valon has held various automotive management positions at Valeo and Garrett, and over the course of more than 24 years he has built up extensive know-how in this business in sales, marketing and general management.
