Time running out to buy VW Touareg N1 model

Volkswagen Ireland reminds us that the clock is ticking for anyone who wants to get a hold of the last of the Touareg N1 Commercial models, which are 5-seater commercial vehicles that offer significant savings for buyers compared to the passenger version of these models.

The current Volkswagen Touareg N1 is available until July 30th for €62,925 including VAT.

The opportunity for buyers to avail of one of these N1 models ends on July 30th, as all N1 vehicles must be registered by or on this date. VW tells us that all of the Touareg NI models that are left come with a technology pack with over €5,500 worth of kit for €1,499 and many of them come with the beautiful R-Line package too.

Volkswagen Ireland claims that compared to the full retail price of a passenger example of the same model, there is a total of €23,400 of savings to be made on many of these. They can only be sold to VAT-registered businesses and cost €62,925 including VAT.

New Touareg on sale soon
An all-new Touareg is due in the coming weeks. It is 77mm longer and 44mm wider than before, and it sits on the VW Group’s flagship MLBevo platform. What this means is that the new Touareg shares many of its internals with the likes of the Audi Q7 and Porsche Cayenne, and even the likes of Bentley’s Bentayga and Lamborghini Urus.

The new Touareg is expected to debut with a choice of two power outputs (231bhp or 286bhp) V6 turbo-diesel engines married to an eight-speed automatic Tiptronic gearbox and 4MOTION all-wheel drive. although not yet confirmed for Ireland, a 340 PS V6 petrol engine option should be available early in 2019, as will a 421 PS V8 diesel at some stage.

There has also been no European introduction date is being given for the 367 PS plug-in hybrid version that is already confirmed for the Chinese market.
