Sykes-Pickavant launches scissor lift table for lifting and moving EV batteries

Sykes-Pickavant has now launched its new GO1480 mobile double scissor lift table which it says is ideal for lifting and moving electric vehicle batteries thanks to its 1,500kg capacity.

Powered by compressed air, the table offers convenient battery installation and removal with an openable sliding cover and is also suitable for use with other heavy components including motors and automatic gearboxes.

The new solution is easy to use, safe and ergonomic, according to the manufacturer.

The table only lowers when the operator presses the button and when not in operation, it locks automatically by means of a mechanical anti-lowering safety wedge.

Lifting or lowering takes 60 second and safety is provided by the mechanical lowering safety rack system, which is also useful for any maintenance.

The GO1480’s high ground clearance makes it compatible with all workshop cranes on the market and is easy to manoeuvre and tilt with straight forward operations.

The top table is extendable and tiltable by means of a mechanical screw, featuring M12 threaded holes for mounting all types of supports or fixings including hooks, brackets, caps and protective rubber mats.

Sykes-Pickavant will be exhibiting at next year’s Auto Trade EXPO, which takes place from May 7-8, 2022 at Citywest Exhibition Centre in Dublin.
