Sean Kearns retires after glowing career at Gowan Group
Sean Kearns, the Head of Aftersales at Gowan Distributors has decided to retire after a remarkable career spanning an incredible 46 years with the Gowan Group.
After completion of his apprenticeship in the army, Sean joined Gowan in March 1979 and is today part of a very elite club of people with over four decades of service to the Gowan Group Limited.

His first role in the Gowan Group of companies was with Gowan Parkgate Street, before he moved to Gallic Distributors (Citroen) as a Technical Advisor, then to Peugeot Ireland where he took on the role of Warranty and Customer Care Manager.
A colleague told AutoTrade.ie that Sean had made an immense contribution to Gowan Group. He relentlessly placed customers’ satisfaction first, working tirelessly with dealers on solutions.
They added that Sean commanded a deep respect from everyone who has ever met him and forged a wide network of loyal colleagues and friends. Indeed, he has been a mentor, a guide, and a friend to so many.
“As you now embark on the next chapter of your life, we know you’ll enjoy more time on the golf course, and most importantly, some valuable moments with your six grandchildren. They are extremely lucky to have you!,” they said.
The colleague concluded by thanking Sean for his hard work, his dedication, and for making Gowan “a better place for all of us”. He wished Sean every happiness and good fortune in his retirement.
