Schaeffler strengthens REPXPERT marketing team


Schaeffler has appointed Tony Yates and Lucie Campbell to its digital marketing team. Both have been tasked with helping to develop the REPXPERT platform following a surge in subscribers.

REPXPERT, Schaeffler’s free online workshop portal, continues to gain popularity with technicians around the world, giving them access to invaluable information about LuK, FAG, INA and Ruville products, tools and technology. Members can also redeem the coupons found inside Schaeffler boxes at the REPXPERT Bonus Shop, which offers a variety of rewards from workshop tools and consumables to advanced diagnostics and systems data supplied in partnership with TecAlliance.

Such is the demand for the service that Tony and Lucie have been recruited to increase the number of videos and step-by-step technical guides, and to improve the overall look and feel of the product, tools and training information.

Tony joins Schaeffler as Digital Media & Marketing Executive, bringing considerable experience to the role following stints in motoring journalism, marketing and social research. He will be responsible for all digital channels in the UK, including both the REPXPERT and Schaeffler corporate websites, as well as continuing to develop the company’s presence by creating exciting new content.

He will be ably assisted by Lucie, fresh from earning an English degree at Manchester University, who will be tasked with managing the social media calendar. She will be posting directly to the REPXPERT Facebook, Twitter and YouTube channels using content written by Schaeffler’s industry-leading team of experts. She will also create competitions, monitor engagement and manage customer information and requests – a hands-on approach which will help increase exposure and encourage new users to sign-up.

Marketing Manager, Jeff Earl, said the addition of personnel to the marketing department was crucial to the development of REPXPERT in the short and long-term future: “REPXPERT contains three key working areas: ‘Work’, ‘Learn’ and ‘Inform’, which combined gives access to almost everything a mechanic needs to know to help run a modern workshop.
