PCL brand presence increased across the Highlands
MacGregor Industrial Supplies is expanding its stock of PCL products by increasing brand awareness at five sites across the Highlands and East coast of Scotland.
As a valued customer for more than 20 years, MacGregor recently signed up for PCL’s Partner+ programme, which gives distributors access to the pneumatic expert’s in-store solutions.
Due to the popularity of PCL’s products at its main depot in Inverness, MacGregor wanted to alert customers further afield to the comprehensive range available to them.
Hydraulics division manager, Alastair Dinsdale, said: “We became a longstanding customer of PCL because the known quality of their products is a big selling point, and the pricing is absolutely spot on.
“We signed up as a Partner+ distributor as we were looking to expand our stock with wider distribution throughout the Highlands.
“As part of that, PCL’s area sales manager, Michael Dooker, supplied us with showroom display units, which are quite an eye catcher, and assisted us with product training.
“The display unit at the heart of the company, our main showroom at Inverness, has gone down fantastically. It has definitely increased our sales of PCL products.”
MacGregor’s core PCL stock range includes tyre inflation equipment, quick release couplings, hose reels and air preparation units, along with Tecalemit’s fuel dispensing triggers.
“Customers in some of our smaller satellite branches are still getting familiar with the products,” Dinsdale added.
“It’s not just the customers we are educating but also our 250 members of staff. So we have taken the opportunity for Michael to give them training on PCL products. They can now talk competently to the customer to explain the product at point of sale.
“PCL is definitely one of the better suppliers for us to deal with, and Michael in particular has always been very responsive to queries. Absolutely no complaints whatsoever.”
In addition, PCL provides marketing support, such as brochures, posters and leaflets, via a dedicated specialist who works closely with its Partner+ members.
