Payzone introduces park and pay by phone

Say goodbye to fumbling for change for parking meters! Payzone’s enhanced Parking Tag system now allows motorists to Park and Pay by Phone in any of the Dublin City Council areas instantly.

The new parking process allows first time users to complete the registration and activation process in one phone call so they can park immediately.

Parking Tag users pay for parking by sending an SMS and all it takes is another quick SMS to extend parking for an additional period of time – no more rushing out to refill the meter! Payzone will even remind users by SMS 10 minutes before their parking time expires

Developed in association with Dublin City Council, the Parking Tag can be used in the following Dublin City Council areas – Dublin 1 to Dublin 12 and parts of Dublin 13, 14, and 17.

Previously, customers had to register and then wait for a parking tag to be posted out to them but this new service cuts out the waiting time. Customers can register for free online at www.parkingtag.ie or over the phone. The service is available on any mobile network.
