Opel offers big price reduction on new model line up


Opel Ireland tells us that its German engineering, stunning design and award winning reliability now comes with a lower price tag.

Opel’s 2013 car prices have reduced by up to 10%, while its commercial vehicle prices have reduced by up to 15%. This leaves the new entry level prices of the Corsa at €13,795; the new Astra at €18,995, the Insignia at €24,995, Meriva now from €18,295, and Zafira Tourer at €27,995. The Vivaro van will now start from €17,269 + VAT, and the Movano will now sell from €19549 + VAT.

Opel Ireland has announced its 2013 range, with three new model launches promised in the year ahead. The most important arrival will be the all-new Astra range with a sharper, bold design in line with Opel’s corporate design. The range the new Astra Saloon. Dubbed ‘Insignia’s Baby Brother’ by Opel, the new Astra Saloon launches here on November 3rd , priced from €19,495.


In early December, Opel tells us that it will be the first German manufacturer to enter the rapidly growing segment of sub-compact SUV with the the all-new Opel Mokka. The Mokka range will be powered by petrol and diesel powertrains and will be available on front wheel drive and All Wheel Drive (AWD) across 3 trims S, SC and SE. The range starts from €19,995, with Opel Ireland saying that the volume 1.7 CDTI SC model representing exceptional value for money at €23,995. It comes with Air-con, USB connectivity, Bluetooth, and alloy wheels.

Meanwhile in March, the much anticipated new Adam will arrive in Ireland, bringing an almost unlimited level of personalisation. Opel says: “Adam’s ultra-cool design combined with its ‘Made in Germany’ build quality and spacious cabin will bring a strong offering to the city car segment”. Prices and specs on the Opel Adam will be announced later this year.
These three models now join Opel’s award-winning range, now with new lower price tags.

Award Winning Reliability and  Opel’s 5 Year Warranty

Opel Ireland boasts that there is no contesting the fact that it has the best in class reliability in Europe. It reiterates that this is not a claim, but a fact. Opel points to the independent experts at Dekra have voted Corsa (2010), Insignia (2011 & 2012) and Astra (2012) “Best in Class” for reliability against all models sold in their segments in Europe. Not only that, each car also won “Best Individual Ranking” for reliability against all 230 models sold in Europe in the last three years (Corsa 2010, Insignia 2011, Astra 2012).

As such, Opel says that it is the only German car manufacturer to support its 2013 range with a 5 year/100,000km warranty, highlighting the conviction Opel has in its award-winning German engineering, and giving its customers peace of mind motoring with their new Opel.

New 5 Year Opel Care Plan

Opel says that for those customers who want the reassurance of knowing that all their scheduled servicing needs are covered, it has launched the ‘Opel 5 Year Care Plan’.

The plan covers all scheduled services for 5 years and an annual vehicle health check. Priced from only €600, Opel Ireland says that customers will have peace of mind knowing that their vehicle will be maintained in line with their recommended servicing schedule, by fully trained Opel technicians using only genuine Opel parts, at prices comparable to the independent sector.

The ‘5 Year Opel Care plan is available across the Opel passenger car range with the option of 36 equal monthly payments, interest free.

Pre-Christmas Order Incentive

Their OpelFest promotion runs from now until 22nd December and all orders for new Opel passenger cars placed before 31st December will receive a €500 Dunnes Stores Gift Card, to help take the burden off Christmas shopping.
