OHM Group assumes sales and distribution for Polestar

The OHM Group has assumed the direct responsibility for the Irish sales and distribution operations of Polestar, the performance EV brand of Volvo and Geely.

Already the Irish importer for Jaguar Land Rover, the OHM Group said the new distribution agreement with Polestar is a “long-term strategic move” that will see the development of a new permanent Polestar dealership in Sandyford, Dublin.

Polestar launched in Ireland in 2022 with OHM Group’s retail business, Spirit Motor Group, as its sole partner with the Polestar 2 and claims to have delivered over 750 cars to date.

Last year Polestar launched two new products – the Polestar 3 and Polestar 4. In 2025 the brand plans to launch the Polestar 5, an electric performance four-door GT.

The new Polestar facility in South County Dublin will comprise a seven-car showroom and customer handover bays. It will be located on Polestar’s current site in Sandyford, opening before Q3 of this year.

Aftersales support will continue to be offered by Spirit Motor Group and Polestar’s other five service partners in Ireland will continue to offer aftersales support.
